Book Review : The Final Summit

The Final Summit: A Quest to Find the One Principle That Will Save Humanity

The Final Summit

By Andy Andrews

In this novel, a man named David Ponder is faced with the responsibility to lead a group of history’s best and brightest minds to find the solution that will save humanity from it’s current course of disaster. The Final Summit is a sequel, however I did not read the first, and was able to follow along just fine.

This is a gripping tale of characters, many of whom you know of and a few you have never heard of. Mr. Andrews does an amazing job weaving the characters together in such a way you feel close to them quickly and you can sense the depth of relationships between each of those in the book.

I loved this book. I love many books, but I especially loved how Mr. Andrews used our favorite historical figures, sprinkled in a few “little known” stories about them, and reminded us what made them great to begin with. This is an amazing story of character as well. It will inspire you to look at where you are in life and determine if you want to bring about change for the better.

I enjoyed this story as an adult, but as I was reading through it, I quickly realized that my ten year old could read it as well! Not only was there nothing inappropriate for younger ages, there is so much great character building, and historical teaching, that I think this story would be a great one for him to read again as he gets older.

I highly recommend this book. It is an easy read, however, I was often reluctant to put it down. I enjoyed everything about this book, and look forward to passing it on to friends after my son reads it!

I received this book free from Book Sneeze in exchange for an honest review. I received no other compensation.
