If you are looking for a great book that digs DEEP into why the Bible can be trusted to be true – this is the book for you!
As a mom of four younger kids I am always on the lookout for a great book to help me teach my children Apologetics!
I want to know why I believe what I believe and I want to be able to help my children figure that out for themselves too.
Hank Hanegraaff uses a number of acronyms to help you remember what you are learning as you go, so you can apply and share what you have learned.
First he explains how we can trust that the copies of the Bible were made accurately by examining copyist practices, oral culture, supplies they used, and then various sources of evidence. The other sections dig into the Archaeologist’s tools and techniques, Prophecy, and finally the last section is devoted to internalization of the rules in the art and science of scriptural interpretation.
While I did enjoy this book, there were many times I felt this was a bit over my head. I would love to go through this book in a few years with my boys, a bit at a time and talk about it as a family.
I would recommend this book if you are looking for a resources that digs deep, and offers lots of great facts to file away to use in the future while defending one’s own faith.
NOTE : I was provided a copy of this book, at no cost from Thomas Nelson publishers, in exchange for an honest review.
