Weekly Wrap Up : July 1st

 

In my life this week...

We were so thrilled to be involved with VBS at First Baptist Church Malakoff.  I headed up the craft section with lots of help!  We had a blast detailing out our schedule for the week and prepping it all.  We were even more excited to see all the youth join us each day and help with the kids!

Places we're going and people we're seeing...

We also got to spend the evening with friends we have not seen in quite a while!  After a yummy dinner of fajitas we trucked out to see their new cows – 4 momma cows all pregnant.   They were a bit skittish – they were new to our friends and still not sure about all of the changes.

I’m Cooking

Fresh Salsa, lots!  I canned a batch and it turned out pretty good!  Still making more since our tomatoes are still going strong. 

Robert picked up some peaches too for us from a nearby farm and we have enjoyed peach cobbler for many meals!

My favorite thing this week was...

Seeing the kids each day @ VBS.  I have been getting to see many of the kids in our church on Wednesday night since we are rotating around each night instead of staying with an age group all night – so seeing these kids again in VBS each day was really fun!!  (I am getting more names down and that makes us all smile!)

I’m Grateful for

A week of seeing little ones who do not know Jesus spend every day in classrooms with teachers loving on them, teaching them, and leading them to a Savoir who loves them dearly!  It does not get any better than that!!  And seeing a little girl being led to our Children’s minister because she has made a choice …..  so amazing!!
