Book Review : The Choice

Have you read anything by Robert Whitlow yet?  If not, you really have to check him out, he is one of my favorite authors!  I have never been disappointed by any book of his!

Robert Whitlow is not only a great author, but a lawyer too, and always brings in elements of the law into his stories!  He has written some great books like The List, The Trial, and many more!

The latest book by Robert Whitlow I thoroughly enjoyed was The Choice.  When I jumped at the chance to read this book, I had no idea the subject, I just knew I wanted to read it since Mr. Whitlow wrote it.  When it arrived and I realize which “choice” he was writing about I was not sure how this book would go.  Silly me, to doubt.  It was delightful.

I absolutely loved Sandy, and wish she were a real person I could meet and get to know.  I was thoroughly inspired by Sandy’s aunt Linda who takes her in when she is faced with a teen pregnancy in 1974, just 2 years post Roe v. Wade.  I loved who Linda was.

The book is divided into two parts, 1974 when Sandy is a teen facing her choice of what to do with the baby growing in her.  The second part is current day when Sandy is faced with some issues while helping another young teen who is pregnant.

I do not want to give away too many details, but I promise if you choose to pick up this book you will love it.  I laughed and cried many times as I read through this book, it will certainly get your emotions going!  The characters are deep and inspiring.  The real world circumstances that Sandy faces as a teen in 1974 and as a woman today are so similar to events we could all face.

And Mr. Whitlow will not disappoint if you are a legal fiction lover like myself!  Two of the main characters in the second part are experienced lawyers who face each other in the court room!

Do not miss this amazing book dealing with real world issues that we need to be dealing with today!

NOTE : I was offered a copy of The Choice, at no cost, in exchange for an honest review, by Litfuse Publishers.
