Does your husband watch sports, of any kind? Did he play sports as a kid, teen, adult? This is the book for you.
We all want to find a book that discusses marriage in a way that our husbands will stick around until the end. We have all tried to get our husbands involved in talking about our marriages, we’ve approached the subject verbally, maybe given him a book, and ended up disappointed. With this book, that can change. This is a book that will communicate ideas our husbands need to hear, but not from us, per se.
Brian Goins wrote a great book on marriage with many great points on how to improve, strengthen and reenergize our marriages!
Brian raises the bar pretty high; he challenges our husbands to do better, to reach higher, to be the man God is calling them to be. Throughout the book there are numerous analogies that relate to sports, specifically the idea playing – playing sacrificially. He challenges each of us to choose to stick with this marriage (stay in the game) despite it being hard, despite wanting to quit (move to the bench) – he encourages us to follow through with our vows and “fight” through the pain, i.e. Play Hurt.
This is a great book that will help improve your marriage in many areas, and better yet, your husband is much more likely to read this one!!
